on the pageviews of Qulog:

A few days before 14 March lots of people searching for random facts on pi and pi songs find Qulog… and when Pi day is gone, they’re all gone too.

As seen on other blogs: the first sentence of the first post of every month.
Summary: a bit of science, some new gadgets on the blog, science poetry, quick links, a word or two about work, but oddly enough not even one crochet-post…
jan: A new feature has suddenly appeared on Qulog: when you ‘hover’ over a link, a picture of the site linked to is shown, before you even click it. [First appearance of Snap link previews]
apr: A so-called fluff post because I don’t have anything useful to say… [Random 10 search terms, ranging from facts about pi to crocheting in the ocean.]
mei: The wordpressers keep adding new features… the latest cool things are the Random Page (there’s a permanent link to a random page of Qulog in the sidebar) and Tag Clouds (scroll all the way down here to see mine). [There's also a poem in this post.]
jun: The post IM IN UR QUANTUM BOX… is one of WordPress Top Posts right now. [May be my introduction to the LOLcats at icanhascheezburger.]
aug: As promised, although a bit late, the second part of my comparison between Intelligent Design and Quantum Mechanics. [Actual first sentence: (First posted on the old Qulog, on Thursday 23rd februari 2006 - 11:05:34 PM).]
sep: Heus.
nov:Making Mathematics with Needlework [one of the quick links posts]
dec: Amazon.com: Who’s Afraid of Marie Curie?: The Challenges Facing Women in Science and Technology: Books: Linley Erin Hall [another quick links post]

does anyone has an explanation for the sudden interest in ‘what revolves around the earth‘? It’s my number one search term (and post) the last few days.

OK, I admit, I Google myself sometimes. Don’t we all? Anyway, I was curious about what would come up first (or probably just bored) and typed in “qulog“. And what did Google say?

No, my dear Google, I did not mean to search for any old blog (a search which, by the way, leads to 1,150,000,000 hits!). I meant my blog, Qulog!
(So this is what you get when I think I should post something on a Friday afternoon. I might be posting silly quizzes and memes soon!)
