Ooit was in de poëzie in de mode om ‘ready mades’ te publiceren: teksten die eruit zien (of gepresenteerd worden) als poëzie, zonder zo bedoeld te zijn. Er verschijnen nu ook wel eens boekjes met onbedoelde gedichten van politici. Ik herinner me een beroemd gedicht van Donald Rumsfeld over de things we know we know.
Laatst kreeg ik een (onbedoeld?) poëtische email. De eerste drie regels lijkt er niets aan de hand, maar dan lopen de zinnen opeens over de regels heen, zomaar een losse De aan het eind van een regel (hoe heet dat ook weer?)…
Maandag 03 maart zal ons schoonmaakbedrijf van start gaan met de glasbewassing.
Afhankelijk van het weer zal men aan de buitenzijde van de gebouwen starten.
Wij verzoeken u om de zonwering tijdig omhoog te doen.
Voor de binnenzijde is er afgesproken dat men zich van te voren zal melden
op het secretariaat en u verzoeken om de vensterbanken leeg te maken. De
glazenwassers kunnen dan vervolgens hun werkzaamheden verrichten en zal de
overlast beperkt blijven.
Wij rekenen op uw medewerking.

(The mass of one mole (in grams) is equal to the atomic weight of the molecules involved. Once you get used to that strange number up there, it makes life – or at least chemistry – much easier. )
